Samantha joined Wray Legal LLP in 2019 after articling at a large full-service firm in Toronto where she gained experience practising commercial and civil litigation. At Wray Legal LLP, Samantha works with the partners in all areas of the firm’s practice, including employment and labour law, civil litigation, human rights, long-term disability benefits, and administrative law. Samantha has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Small Claims Court, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. She has experience conducting and participating in civil motions, pre-trials, trials, and settlement conferences; examinations (discoveries and judgment debtor), and mediations (civil and human rights).
Samantha has developed a passion for social justice advocacy through her work and past experiences. Prior to articling, she worked at the Human Rights Legal Support Centre where she provided legal support to victims of discrimination under the Ontario Human Rights Code. While a law student, she worked at several legal clinics and pro bono appointments including ARCH Disability Law Centre, FCJ Refugee Centre, and Community & Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP).
